FYSH - First Year Student of Hillel

Welcome First Year Students!

FYSH, or First Year Students of Hillel is a program that allows students to meet new people, get involved, and have amazing experiences with other students who are beginning their college careers. Through innovative programs and engaging activities, FYSH’s main goal is to create a welcoming community for students to be a part of.

As the first year population changes every year, so too does the focus of the programming calendar. We believe that students should determine what kind of activities and initiatives they want to be involved in. Ideally, we strive to create a balanced calendar of deep, meaningful programs and fun, socially focused activities. Through FYSH programming, members will be exposed to discussions, service initiatives, cultural experiences, and community building – All while having an awesome time!

For those that sign up before they even get to campus, or within the first week, FYSH members will be matched with a “Big FYSH”, an upperclassman that will help welcome to campus and be a mentor to a FYSH member.

What’s that?  You say you’re a student that loved FYSH and still wants to remain involved even though you are no longer eligible for the program?  Well that’s great!  There are a multitude of ways to remain involved and ensure that new members get the same great experience you did!  Sign up to become a Big FYSH or apply to Be a FYSH Intern.  Interns will be responsible for helping to guide the FYSH program and will serve as the planning team alongside first year students for FYSH Events!
